Welcome to the California Furnace Inspection Program Web Site. This site contains important product safety information about certain horizontally-mounted, NOx rod-equipped, gas-fired furnaces that were manufactured by Consolidated Industries, Inc. ("Consolidated") and then distributed by other companies under the brand names listed above.

If you own a horizontally mounted, gas-fired furnace in California that has one of these brand names, then you should review the information on this web site very carefully.

The UNITED STATES CONSUMER PRODUCT SAFETY COMMISSION ("CPSC") has concluded that some NOx rod-equipped, horizontally-mounted gas-fired furnaces manufactured by Consolidated may present a risk of fire and heat-related damage to adjacent building components. The companies that distributed the furnaces under the brands noted above have agreed with the CPSC to provide a corrective action program under which eligible furnaces will be inspected and, if necessary, repaired at no cost to you. Alternatively, you may elect to receive a new furnace free of charge except for installation costs. These companies have issued a PRESS RELEASE which describes the agreement in greater detail. You may use this website to:

  • FIND OUT IF MY FURNACE IS INCLUDED IN THE PROGRAM if you know the brand name and model number of your furnace. If you do not know the brand name and model number, click HERE for assistance in locating it on your furnace and from other sources.

  • REQUEST AN INSPECTION if you determine that your furnace qualifies for the program. You may request an inspection HERE or by calling 1-877-347-6456. Either way, you will be required to give your name, address, phone number, and the brand name, model number and (if available) serial number of your furnace when you call.

  • I HAVE A NOX ROD FURNACE IN A STATE OTHER THAN CALIFORNIA. The voluntary corrective action program only includes NOx rod furnaces installed in California. However, we encourage you to provide us with information about your furnace. It will be forwarded to the company that distributed your furnace, and that company will contact you to discuss your options.
